  • White Rabbit Red Rabbit

    See what happens with no rehearsal, no director, a different actor each night and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on the stage. Written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, White Rabbit Red Rabbit was conceived when he was barred from leaving the country for refusing military service. The play became a “message in a bottle,” communicating the lived experiences of an entire generation under harsh censorship. Since its premiere in 2011, this wild, utterly original play has been translated into more than 30 different languages and performed over 3000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film including actors John Hurt, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Michael Sheen, and Dominic West.

  • Gopher Hole Comedy Club Showcase w/ Ira Ford

    Experience live stand-up comedy in The Hole! Featuring the best rising comedians in the Midwest! Our Friday night showcase at the Gopher Hole is conveniently located inside the Gopher Bar & Grill in West Duluth. Come in early and grab a bite to eat upstairs and make your way down into The Hole for a night of laughter.

    Headliner: Ira Ford
    Ira Ford, from Maryland, was a lyricist before he followed his passion of comedy. He was always amazed at how a comedian could hold so many people's attention. Now based in Minneapolis, he is an open book who talks about life experiences ranging from drugs to family. He unapologetically says what he thinks. His unique and hilarious stories earned him a semifinalist finish at The Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest at Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, and had his own wildly popular monthly showcase which he hosted and curates "Laughs and Legends" at Lakes and Legends Brewery in downtown Minneapolis. He is also the host and proprietor of light em up the bong show & Minnesota Nice Compliment Battle. He is currently a paid regular feature at the hottest comedy club in Minnesota Acme Comedy Company.
    Featuring: Jon Stannard
    Originally from Iowa City, IA, Jon Stannard has been living and performing in the Twin Cities since 2016.
    A Boxing Coach by trade, Jon brings his relaxed wit and goofy energy to show us how funny the parallels can be in life, both inside and outside the Boxing ring.
    He is the creator and host of the Mondays at Moose Comedy Open Mic at NE Moose Bar & Grill in Northeast Minneapolis, a weekly show which has been running since June of 2021.
    Host: Emen Essien
    Emen has been performing stand up nearly 4 years now and producing shows the last 2. His stories of battling anxiety, parenting,and overcoming life’s obstacles will definitely leave you with more reasons to just laugh and enjoy your life.
